Hi can someone tell me whats wrong with my flight simulator x graphics

Hi can someone tell me whats wrong with my flight simulator x graphics

look, what happens to my flight simulator x , is that it runs low, and i get angry because i cant enjoy when im flying the airplanes. im running it with vista, the details are:

1. windows vista home premium (6.0,build 6000)

2. processor: intel core 2 duo cpu 2.00 ghz

3. ram: 2038 MB

4. direct x version 10

5. video card: mobile intel 965 express chipset family, memory is 358 MB

Oh and one last question: in my flight simulator x game, it tells me that the requirement is to have direct x 9 version, and i have the direct x 10 version. So my question is: If i have the direct x 10 version is it better for flight simulator game than having the 10 version?

Ill put 10 points to the best answer. Any help accepted.Hi can someone tell me whats wrong with my flight simulator x graphics?
your only problem is the graphics card- its integrated! you need to buy a dedicated graphics card because you CAN have DX10, but youre not really using it. graphics cards by ATI or NVIDIA are dedicated, and most support DX10. your intel graphics card could only handle some of the 3d that ginormous game has, giving the rest to your CPU, which isnt good at all. when you do find a good card, make sure it will fit your laptop before you buy it!
Direct X 10 is better than direct x 9 so dont worry about that. In order to run this game faster you will need to lower your video/graphic settings so that it is easier to run the game. This will make the game look less realistic but you will actually be able to play the game without it slowing down. So go to the game options and set all the graphic setting to low. You may need to click on advanced settings. All this will be done within the flight simulator game options. Also lower the resolution in your game options.Hi can someone tell me whats wrong with my flight simulator x graphics?
Im going to assume that its just the game thats slow. If everything is slow, then you may have other problems...

Your computer is pretty slow for running such a graphics and processor greedy game. Also, if the game was made for direct x 9, it could be somewhat less than perfectly compatible, but its unlikely.

See if you can turn some of the graphics down.

Also, Vista itself is very hard on the performance, so switching to a less thirsty theme could help. (Windows Classic view, disable Sidebar, etc.)
No wonder. I have the same brand of card on my Sony Vaio laptop. That intel chip is not designed for gaming. I found this out (the hard way) and was very dissapointed. Consider replacing it, or purchasing a new computer.

It would run more smoothly if you have direct x 10Hi can someone tell me whats wrong with my flight simulator x graphics?
just like the first answer replied... the main problem is your graphic card. i had the same thing on my old laptop. Intel 965 chipset are not made for gaming and run at very low frames. Everything else looks good
You need a better video card. You can get a decent video card (Im partial to Nvidia) for $75 to $100 that will run FSX very well.
I think you have answered the question yourself. Use the x 9 version. This might be the problem.
